Launchy is a free windows utility designed to help you forget about your start menu, the icons on your desktop, and even your file manager. 
Launchy indexes the programs in your start menu and can launch your documents, project files, folders, and bookmarks with just a few keystrokes! 
Once Launchy has been started, it hides in the background. You bring it forward by holding the alt key and tapping the space key. You then type in a few keys of the program you are searching for and hit enter once it has been found. You can also make Launchy dissappear again by hitting escape or alt+space. 
Launchy is developed to run on XP, however you can try downloading the gdiplus.dll and unzipping it into your Launchy directory to get it to run with Win2000

Y'z Dock 0.8.3 Full Version Free Download

Y'z Dock is a program toolbar, very much like the dock in MacOS X. It is no longer being updated but still has a very large user base. 
The application had huge interest when it was first released, but due to a cease and desist order from Apple, the author has had to stop development. 
To add icons, drag and drop a file (.exe, shortcut, etc.) straight from Explorer to the dock area. In order to delete an icon, drag and drop the icon out of dock. Place the PNG images for your icons in the icons folder. Right-click on the icons in the dock, choose 'Property' and choose your icons images there. Right-click anywhere on your dock background and choose 'Setting' to change the settings that apply to the dock itself. The clock and the trash bin have not implemented.

Start Menu 8 emulates the classic Windows 7 start menu, both in style and function. Pressing the windows key will open the menu and display a list of folder shortcuts on the right, a search bar on the bottom, and a list of program folders for easy access to all your applications. For the most part, Start Menu 8 looks, acts, and tastes like the old Start button, but also comes with a few tweaks and enhancements.
You can customize individual components of the menu. Want to set a shortcut to open in a new window or a popup? Done deal. Still want access to the default Start Screen without uninstallation? Simply press Alt+X, or set a custom hotkey instead. You can even change the Start button graphic to another image of your choice and deactivate the charms bar. This level of customization is important because at the end of the day, Start Menu 8 distinguishes itself from competitive apps by the way it enhances the Windows 8 experience, instead of just a simple nostalgic imitation. 
However, there are also some elements in which Start Menu 8 falls short. Notably, the apps that are downloaded from the Windows store are noticeably absent so any apps that reside in the Modern UI Start screen will only be accessible from there. The native Start screen gives users access to both so this is a bit of a letdown. But then again, for the attractive price of 0.00, it's something we can live with.
Start Menu 8 is download worthy: it has enough encouraging features to cater towards both older and newer crowds and significant levels of customization to uniquely meet user needs. And though I encourage users to really engage with Microsoft's latest iteration, it's undeniable that having a convenient option to switch between the two at a whim has been rather pleasant. TimeLeft is a big improvement on the Windows system clock, but it's more than that; it includes a countdown, stopwatch, alarm clock, timer, and time synchronizer. It comes in several versions, including a Free edition that leaves out some features and limits users to one of each feature at a time, and a Deluxe version that has lifetime support and upgrades and unlimited features. But the Deluxe version is free to try for 30 days, which is plenty of time to see if this timekeeper is a keeper. We tried TimeLeft Deluxe in both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows. We think anyone who tries TimeLeft and uses it every day (or nearly so) will value the Deluxe version's advantages.
Setting up TimeLeft involves choosing a few options. For instance, the program can replace the built-in Windows Tray Clock, but only in 32-bit Windows editions. We declined the Auction Watch browser add-on, which works with an optional feature that can keep track of your online auctions with help from a wizard that also packs a cool tool for exporting countdowns to Web sites. Some of TimeLeft's add-ons, such as the skins pack, cost extra; that's OK, because some users don't want to pay for extras (like skins) that they don't want or need and won't use, and choice is good. Speaking of choices, TimeLeft has plenty of them, starting with the New Year Countdown and Clock windows it displayed when the installer finished. These are compact, but can be resized; colorful, but can be reskinned; and legible, but can be configured to display any time or date format, number sequence, layout, and action you like. Clicking the program's System Tray icon opens the Main Window, an efficient utility for configuring TimeLeft's features. Right-clicking the tray icon opens TimeLeft's main menu, which accesses its primary features: My Reminders, My Countdowns, My Clocks, My Stopwatches, My Timers, and My Stickers. Right-clicking any clock or display accesses its own menu with options like Edit Countdown and Zoom.
